Anyone successful flashed with CDA162003/13? I keep getting the msg below

"There is currently no service for devices belonging to your operator

Your operator does not approve the usage of this service for this device."

Shouldn't happen cos I bought phone carrier & sim free.

Any advice/solution is greatly appreciated!

From what smellywelly wrote it sounds like he only went as far as entering the CDA and getting to the next screen whereas the error you get appears way after that when the java applet has started and turned on and off the phone in the cradle

Really frustrating...phone has been launched for quite awhile and yet SE hasn't resolved this Update Service bug....sigh....guess this is what P900 get for being the first to use this feature...getting ridiculous...

I am not sure I understand why it is a bug. The message indicates that the operator who supplied the phone has not approved the use of the online service.

This sounds like something that is being specifically checked for, not a bug in the update software

My phone was not bought from any carrier and is sim and logo free...so it shouldn't have such a msg appearing...so not sure if its a bug or what...

On another note is there an effective SE email addy which I could use to explain my situation, where they are in a position to do something about? I emailed to my local SE office, still waiting for reply but my guess is they are too small to actually know or do something about it. TIA!

It's not a bug....
All with CDA 162003/13 having this problem. Shucks... when called up my local SE.. they are not aware of the problem and do not understand a single thing what I said. They said.. to bring down to SE centre for update. Well.. I did.. and guess what... they do not actually know that there's a new firmware for this phone... ??? Well... dat says it all. Currently using my HBH200... with lots of drop calls.. & no caller id. shucks!!!
