Hi! I joined this site about three days ago, thought I'd better say a proper hi, so, er... hello!
This site's a veritable mix of info, tips, tricks and help, well done on putting it together!
I have just 'restored' a previously faulty T610 to full working order, originally with the intention of selling it on for (hopefully!) some profit. Thing is, I've grown very fond of the phone, and what it can do, especially with a bit of help from people on this site! I'm going to keep this phone, and sell my V200 instead I think! I think I've finally found a viable alternative to Nokia!
Also, I think I asked this somewhere in another thread, but how do you do all those different smilies? I only know how to do two, the happy and sad faces - Any help on how to do the other ones would be appreciated!
Thanks!!

welcome to Esato

if you are talking about smilies in these forums then to see what smilies are available, just click where it says Smilies in the option box underneath where you put your text when posting or replying

for smilies in the phone while writing text then choose more, then add symbol. Alternatively you can just press '1' three times and a few smilies will appear in a selection box

I think that he meant the actual smilies themselves, here on Esato. When you are posting, scroll down a little, and you'll see "Disable Smilies on this Post", click on Smilies, and you'll see a page pop up. Copy and paste the smilie that you want, then hit "Submit".

Yep, that's what I meant!
If you hadn't already guessed, I'm a bit new to these kind of discussion boards, still finding my feet. Any suggestions/tips for me? I've tried posting threads on other forums, and found that no-one replies to them! I had been getting a bit paranoid
I also want to avoid inadvertently saying something or doing something that leads to me getting flamed or something! I recently got ADSL and have really started to use the net more - including boards like esato!

I guess this thread can be of (big) help to me as well . . . my posting of images + smilies + non-sense thread = 'lifetime ban' , now that's what I call a 'masterpiece' in the making !

Yes, I think I'm after some of those 'unwritten' rules of posting on boards like this - I'm sure that at the moment I tend to waffle on posts, and repeat myself - i.e. put stuff in that I've mentioned in other posts. I also have a neverending capacity for talking rubbish!
