First of all to the mods (especially Masseur! ) my apologies for creating a new thread for this - I wasn't sure exactly which past thread would be the best to 'continue' with.

Anyway 2 things :

1) This is the first time I've created a theme for the p900, and it's on an anime theme - not enough themes available for the anime fans out there! I wanted to post it up to get some opinions and see if there's anything I can do to improve it.

2) I used VITO theme editor to create this, but when I tried to add sounds to the theme I seem to have some problems. There's this mp3 file which I wanted to add to the theme, and I basically converted it to a lower quality mp3 file in order to get the overall size smaller - when I added it to the theme and saved it, it seems to be in there since the file size is large - but when I tested it on my phone, it doesn't seem to see it!
The same goes for a few .mid files which I also added to stuff like sms tones etc - it's in the file, but my phone doesn't seem to see it!
Anyone with any idea what I'm doing wrong?

**I don't know of any online file storage sites where I can upload the theme to - unless someone replies to this thread before I can find out, please be patient while I search through the forum for one! I remember seeing some being mentioned, but since I have already written this thread out before I remembered to search for it I will post this thread up anyway! **

I use www.p900club.us ! Check it out! I also recomend you use the "attach image function" so we could view your work.

This problem could be one of two things! First you might have an old version of VitoThemeCreator. Check out if you have the latest. The other thing is the problem of bit rate. Dont use to low bit rates it might not play in the theme.

Anyway keep up the good work! I look forward to see your work.

Thanks!

I was thinking of uploading the entire .utz file so that people can try it out - I guess I could also capture screenshots and attach the image here instead.

I suddenly had this bright idea of registering with geocities for free webspace and uploading the file there - having problems doing this at the moment, not sure why...grrr

I guess it must be because of the low bitrate then, I converted the file using a low bitrate in order to keep the file size down...not sure the version I'm using, but I only downloaded it a month back or so, so shouldn't be an old version. hrmm. Any ideas how to keep the sound file size down? I'm trying to convert a 1.5mb mp3 file to something that is manageable for a theme file.

I've given up trying to upload the .utz file - here are some images as samples instead!

Any comments, anyone? Thanks!

It was ok, but not great(though it may have something to do with the fact that I hate manga ) But it was very simple compaired to for example the themes that Lucas makes, but very good considering that it is your first theme.

Thanks! I made that theme over lunch just now - a 15 minute job

I'm planning to get some feedback and spend some time thinking about it, when I have more time, and improve the theme over time!

And once I've built a first theme which looks good, then I'll be ready to join the community of theme creators out there

@Galactica

That anime theme came from "Kimagure Orange Road" - a really good series, you should watch it if you have the chance!

Sure, once I've worked on this theme further and (hopefully!) made it better, I'll look into other themes like trigun
