One of the biggest announcements is the Samsung's first CDMA/GSM phone. The SCH-A790 will work in Europe only as GSM, because is supports just 900/1800 frequencies. It also lacks GPRS and MMS, BREW, Web browsing and voice and digit dialing can be done only in CDMA mode. The expected availability is Q2 of 2004.

The official release date of the SCH-a790 is set for the end of the summer 2004. It’s a clamshell equipped with the internal 128x160 pixel, 260K color LCD and the external OLED screen. Other features include the VGA digital camera with the integrated flash, the support of GPS E911, MMS, BREW, voice calls.

once again an antenna destroys what would otherwise be a smart and capable phone. also cant believe that manufacturers continue to churn out vga cameras.
