Bookmark topic
Hi there, stumbled across this website by accident, and its amazing!
I downloaded the an Usher music video, in mp4 format, but it doesnt seem 2 want to play on my phone....The file shows up, butwhen I go to open it, it says "Unable to play clip" - I thought the p900 could play mp4 video clips, or do I have to download some extra stuff for it?
Can any help please
Thanks
Zakkz

@zakkz
Some of the guys on this board are very elitist to the new members and seem to forget that everyone at one time was new here too, but stick with this forum as most of the guys here are very helpful.
Any way welcome m8....
Just a few suggestions,
1) Silly question but you do have the "Video" application installed..
2) Where have you saved the MP4 file....Local or on your Memory Stick..
Lastly Esato search is one of the best things on this site, so it is always a good place to start....
Welcome again.....

on the P900 the video application is part of the firmware so is preinstalled.
the only thing I can suggest is try to redownload the clip and if that doesn't work then try another clip. I'd say 1 in 10 that I have tried have failed and didn't play on pc or P900

Hi mate,
You didn`t mention weather you downloaded the MP4 directly onto your phone or did you download onto your P.C. firstly??
Just wonderin cause it could be a zip file even.

@masseur
You are right it is pre-installed, but he might have been deleting apps and accidentally deleted it.....

as far as i know you can't delete the video app fro the uninstall menu, maybe if he would go to the system dir and delete it manually but i guess you can't delete it (write/delete protection) and anyway it doesn't really matter where did he put the mp4, if the phone recognizes the pathe and the file extension it should play, my best guess is that the file is corrupted....

Do users who have been members of Esato for over a year more than you, Scotsboyuk, count?
