I use the accepted callers feature to allow 'listed callers only' to come in when I go to bed.

I also have these divert calls setup
. when busy (go to my land line)
. when not reachable (voice mail)
. when no reply (voice mail)

This is what I do not understand. When someone calls who is not in my 'listed callers only', it goes to busy, thus my landline.

Is this normal? Shouldn't this go to No Reply (to voice mail) instead?

Can anyone verify this? Does the accepted callers behaves as though the phone is busy?

I use this feature every night so that only my family can call me and wake me but no one else can, and yes, the phone essentially sends a busy signal to numbers not on your list

I'm not 100% sure but isn't that all the phone can do as the 'not reachable' and 'no answer' would be handled at the network end but the network does have the ability to be sent a busy signal from the phone, and its only the phone that can make this decision whether to accept the call or not

masseur,

thanks for the quick reply. i divert to my land line 'when busy' when i am at home. for two reasons, really. (1) to save my anytime minutes, (2) land line has better reception especially when both parties are using mobile.

at least now i know this is not a bug.
