> Why did my Calendar entries disappear?

Hi All
I'm running Win XP with Bluetooth, PC Suit 2.31 and P900, on Orange UK.
I had a handful of Calendar entries and about a dozen Task entries. I attempted to sync the P900 to the PC for the first time (I got the phone a few days ago and made my first entries today).
My Sync settings are:
- Contacts (ticked) and nothing else ticked
- Add conflicting to both phone and computer
The contacts carried over fine both ways. However, my Calendar entries are deleted on the P900, and my Tasks have all had their dates changed to 07/01 (despite the fact that the P900's date prior and after the sync is set to 06/04/2004)
This is not a major worry as I can recall which entries I made, and can manually change the Task dates.
However, has anyone experienced this before? What could have gone wrong? I'm worried that it'll happen again when I start using the phone for real.

I downloaded the latest PC Suite today - so do you mean that it's a firmware issue and this is a known problem? Thanks
EDIT: I have just run downloaded the update and am the point of backing up. However, I'm hesitant in going through with this as I'm on Orange and have read nightmare stories on here/my-symbian from people who've updated their Orange P900s. Can anyone shed some light on the above problem (ideally a solution that doesn't involve updating! or am I being paranoid?) Thanks
EDIT: It appears the calendar entries have not been deleted, but instead moved to equivelant dates in January 2003!?
