How would i set up an e-mail account which i have on the internet, onto ,my phone? i heard something about POP3 but dont know how to do it. Because i want to send e-mails to my phone which attachments on them so that i can put games, ringtones etc onto my fone. But first i hav to set up an account on my fone, how do i do it? for example how wud i set up an hot mail account on my fone? i hav got the nokia 6600 and T68i

if you have email on your pc then its a simple matter of transferring the same settings to the phone, with the exception of the outgoing mail server (SMTP) which must (usually) be one provided by your mobile phone operator.

unfortunately though, the t68i cannot do anything with received attachments. the only way to get pictures and ringtones to the phone is via bluetooth, ir, cable all from a pc, or via MMS

You cannot set up hotmail! I use my @o2.co.uk and @isl.is accounts which are pop3 -you can set up all pop3 accounts on phones! And i know how to do it on se phones! -do you have another mail than hotmail? I can help you! -PM me or reply here and ill help:-D This message was posted from a T300

unfortunately you have to transfer them manually but most of the items are similarly names (incoming server, outgoing server, email address, username, password etc etc)

I dont know if yahoo uses pop3! -can you install yahoo on outlook? Try mail.yahoo.com or pop.yahoo.com or some adress like that in the incoming & outgoing server This message was posted from a T300

outlook and outlook express support the http email protocol which is what hotmail uses. unfortunately most (prob all) phones don't support this
