> Sony Ericsson Z1010 to Ship Within Days

Sony Ericsson has announced that they will be shipping their first 3G headset, the Z1010, within days. According to a top official, the phone will be shipped to a few markets where 3G is supported.
"We are in the final stages of testing of the model with a number of telecom operators who have commissioned 3G in their markets," said Jan Wareby, corporate executive vice-president and head of sales and marketing.
"Sony Ericsson is very clear in that it does not want to make products that are not as good as the GSM phones already available in the market. Issues such as a longer battery life had to be addressed."

can anyone help me - can you get the z1010 sim fre so that i can put my t-mob sim card in. i dont wana use the video calling cos it is a waste cos i know noone with a video phone but i still wana use the phone because it has a memory stick duo slot.
so if i got it unlocked could i still use the video camera without using the video calling feature?

Yeah its a dual mode 2/3G phone. Typical. Ive finally given up on waiting for it and it gets released.

Burger, they removed the "coming soon"-text several days ago.
Neither Telia or The Phone House has gotten any kind of delivery status on z1010. I won't belive it until i have the phone in my hand...

i guess that the z1010 is going to be availible first at t-mobile, they have had many exlusive contracts
