Ok I thought I'd let people know you can get 3 tarrif's on Orange as an OVP, except they're called Select500 or Select750.
I'll state quickly most customer services rep will deny all knowledge and say they can't provide them (which is true their systems won't let them). You need to have a chat to the Retentions Dept, even then you may or not find someone willing to do it. It took me a good half hour of haggling before they admitted they could do it.
You'll increase your chances of getting the tarrif if a) you spend a lot b) you're not particularly interested in a swanky new handset and are happy to get a shitty Nokia (but use your curent P900) c) You've already requested a PAC code and are threatening to move to 3.
I do hope this is of use to people, but as I state you can only get the tarrifs if you upgrade (i.e. commit to another 12 months) and you're very persistent. Most people in Orange have no idea they can do these tariff's and deny they do a 3 OVP (which is true, they just call it something else)

Yes it's basically 500 xnet minutes anytime for £25 or 750 xnet minutes anytime for £35. After that calls are 5p to Orange 10p to landline and 25p to other mobiles.
Compares much better than Orange YourScam 400, which is £50 for 400 xnet minutes anytime or YourScam 700 for £70 with calls after that 10p, 10p and 35p respectively.
I also get the added bonus of not having to use 3's truly horrible phones and flaky network (I've had an NEC 606 for over a year now and used an NEC 616 for a week, thank god work was picking up the tab as I wouldn't pay for them...) and getting to add unlimited weekend calls for £5 a month courtesy of Orange's latest offer.....
Nice indeed......

Thanks for the information!
However, I am on OVP O2 200 (200 XNet + 50SMS + Free Answerphone + Free Customer Services / 150)
Maybe the Select 500 is too 'good' for me to move down/up to? (certainly in the case of down if they regard it as a tariff downgrade they would charge me full price for my P900 or something)

Those Select tariffs look good, but the OVP O2 MAX tariff seems to be even better. On O2 MAX you get 1000 xnet anytime minutes, free voicemail and 50 SMS.
Best thing about it is that even after your minutes are gone, calls only cost:
4p/min daytime to landlines
3p anytime to Orange
2p/min evenings & weekends to landlines
This means your P900 is as basically as cheap to use as your BT landline at home.

@hippo - Yeah O2 MAX OVP is a great tariff, far better than any of the bog-standard Orange plans anyway!
