its a java3d engine that is already very much in use in japan etc. and it has nothing to do with cartridges or that sort of stuff. you will be able to download it as any other java game...

the good thing about it is that there are many many many games already available for java3d - the only problem might be, that the most games will be in japaniese LOL

i personally look forward to the java3d enigine and the "normal" java 2 engine

cheers

The java 3d and midp2.0 is much bether then the java you find on the phones today. You can do alots of stuff with it and even make new functions to the phone since it will have acces to the rest of the phone, not like today where the games is in a sandbox and can only make things on the screen.

have a look at some of the java3d games, they arn't as good as the n-gage as the games have to be smaller in size to fit on a phones memory, where as the n-gage has a whole catridge in which to store the game on. However the good part is you don't need a brick of a phone to play them on, and you won't look like a fool when making a phone call

i tried out the tennis game today ... really neat graphics not as good as n-gage, but the games won't be as expensive
