More updates for IM+ V1.5

I have the unlimited T-zones, and I am able to connect to AOL & ICQ using port 80 (the default port 5190 did not work).

However, I still can not connect to YM with port 80. Does anyone know what other ports are available for the unlimited T-zones ($4.99) plan?

For anyone who has T-mobile in the US with the $4.99 plan. Try AOL & ICQ with port 80.

Get the Internet package and ask them to open all the ports for you. I've been using IM+ since their first release and I've run into problems at times getting certain applications to run. I'd have to say a big part of the issue has always been with the software. I say this because I've had one of the engineers specially patch my software after I sent them a log to debug the hicups. To ensure everything was copesetic on my end I asked T-MO to allow me access to all ports. They configured my account as I requested. However, I believe this flexibility might only be available with those with the Internet package. T-Zones does have its limitations.

BifGeat,

I do know with the $19.99 internet2 plan, you get all the ports. I am not going to pay T-Mobile for $19.99 just to use IM+. I think it's bogus of them not to allow T-zones users to access more ports.

At least with port 80 & T-Zones, I can get AOL & ICQ working thus far.

Well, how do u surf the net with just T-Zones? If you don't intend to then why purchase a Pxxx? I don't see how you can take full advantage of the color HTML browser when you're limiting yourself to what every cheap other GSM mobile can give you.

i do surf the net with t-zones. t-zones gives you unlimited internet access, but just NOT all the ports. I certainly use my default browser and Opera to check UA flights, check Yahoo mails, weather...etc

In t-zone you can browse www sites. So all working and much chipper like 4 time chiper.
I hate T-Mobile cusstomer relationship, they just dont care.
Last time i had problem. They misconfigured some stuff it took them like a mount to fix. But they did charged me 20 buk month fee, I caleed and sad drop the charge. Lady told me " Sir if you did not wanet to pay for it you shoud not have this service." I sad i did not have this service for a mount you were fixing it. She did not let me to talk to menager in no conditions. After 1.5 hours arguing she refund me 10 baks.

you don't need to pay ANYTHING if you just wanna browse the internet. all t-mobile plans come with 'FREE WAP' ...if you don't have it, ask them to give it to you.

You have to be careful about how you describe 'browsing the internet' on the P900. WAP sites are all text based. Which means the url that you are trying to visit must enable a WAP portal in order for you to browse their content. With that said, Internet data through T-MO allows one to browse the internet through regular html coded websites. Which is the advantage the P900 and other smartphones have over the standard cell phone. You can take full advantage of the color graphics enabled browser that comes standard with the phone. However, a T-ZONE or WAP account will only allow you to connect to WAP portals which again is only text based. In either case, you can download in chat messenger program that will allow you to connect through a regular T-ZONE account because the standard ports (i.e. 80 etc.) are open by default.

- By the way, IM+ is at version 2.5 right now. Not 1.5.
