I have searched, and not found any definitive answers to this, so I'm hoping somebody can help me.

I'm considering changing providers, but I want to keep my beloved P800. If I change the sim, should I expect it to do what my other SE/Ericsson phones have done in the past, and wipe all the phone-stored SMS messages? Is there anything else I should know about before I put a new sim in there? Before anyone asks, I've checked the service menu and I know the phone is unlocked.

P800 keep numbers and SMS in internal memory. Unless you purposle send them on sim. So if you start using phone with new sim and all SMS resived on this phone the onli think will hapen is your service center number for sms will be changed (as needed for new service)
So basicaly you will not notice a think changed. I have 2 sims in russia and in us. So when i change sim only my carier changes. But in phone all the same.
