I've had the bad misfortune of dropping my P900 in the water. It was only in for a few seconds but I don't have any display now. Does anyone know how to remove the case so I can let it dry? I've removed the two screws on the bottom back and the top screw on the right between the camera lens and the jog dial. However, I can't seem to take the back case off at this point. Is there another screw? Thanks for any assistance!

I know, I'm hurting right now. I had just got my Bluetooth configuration working with my PC so now I can transfer files and sync without the USB cradle. But now the excitement is gone. Now there's no phone to use. It's an empty feeling...

I don't think I'll have much luck taking it in for repair. I'm in Canada right now and the phone has not been released here.

to be honest, the chances of repair are slim anyway. you have to be very very lucky for water damaged phones to a) be repaired and b) if they are repaired to last long.

I know not only from experience, but from all these horror stories on Esato

Sorry man, i know the filling from taking a swim in sea with t68i in my pocket. That was few yaers ago when t68i was like THE BEST SHIT.

Your chances are slim
1) Transmiter inside of the phone can generete grate amoint of power. Asd if it got in whater it will birn. You can change it but no service center will give warranty. I people who sad thay can fix it tald me that there waranty wil be 1 second after i turn phone on .
2) Screan heve a few layers and if whater is got in.... Even if you will make it work it will look shity. Plus i have doubts about tuch screan.
3) Water will acidise insides. Not as bad as solt water but... You got to clean it GOOOOOOOOOD.
4) Some other parts might go bad.
Price of thous repares and screan echange + no warranty= Just get a new one.

But, keep us updated.

It seems that the LCD is out. I can't get any visual on it, just a blank lit screen. The rest of the phone seems to be working. I called the phone and the custom ring tone rang and I was able to answer the call. But without the LCD touch screen, can't do much with a P900...
