What if this really happen in the near future when the clash of corp culture force this two giant to split their mobile phone unit back to good old days (An assumption only.....this have been one of the rumours everytime they produce bad result)?
But then both are using Ericsson platform and with the same concept of a general connector being used.
Then who would you choose? Sony for the design or Ericsson just like how Esato is started ( A site dedicated to E/// product)???

I'd go back to Ericsson... for the design. Was never fond of Sony's designs... or their influence on SE's designs. Always felt Sony should've just stuck with contributing cash, manufacturing, and marketing. Ericsson should've been in charge of design, technology, and R&D.

good question! but i like SE just like is now.. but in case that this will happen in a far future (i hope) i'd prefer ericsson instead of sony.. sony's phones are ugly

I am still a big fan of the T28 World phone. I liked the simplicistic Ericsson design. The R380 was ahead of its time and the result of it is now the P900. OK with the help of Sony. However I would stick with Ericsson, because they made great phones.
