I am correct in thinking that software cannot be stored on the MS Duo and has to be stored on the P900 internal memory, if so does that mean I will have to be constantly switching around my programs to and from phone to PC?

when you install software it should give you the choice to install on the C or D drive so yes, you can install onto a duo
When you insert a memory stick with software on it into the P900, it checks the memory stick and adds those programs to the applications list so you can run them
