Does anyone have any experience with the following statements for a way to increase the T68 (and probably T39) battery lifetime:
1. Change Bluetooth operation mode from 'Automatic' to 'Off'.
2. Change 'Prefered service' in the 'Data communication' menu from 'GPRS and GSM' to 'GSM only'. The phone will still use GPRS connection when logging onto a WAP service!

Both points sound reasonable to extend battery life. I checked this and it seems to help.
But I cannot confirm for point 2, that GPRS works "automatically" that way...

It stands to reason that it would increase battery life really...You can tell if you are using GPRS, if when you start using WAP it dials up, and secondly when you finish your session it will tell you how data has been sent and received...

I use Bluetooth on "automatic" mode.
This really doesnt make a great difference.

It only drains battery if bluetooth is set to "ON".

At the same time i use GPRS.
The gprs works great on SMS and WAP.

My standby on battery is : 355 hours

Tested to set pref. service to gsm instead of gprs and gsm, works fine. Gprs indicator is shown if i am on wap. Excited how does it effect the battery. Works on 630 and 520 aswell. This message was posted from a T630

@ thanx boba but this trick was known to me from before And I did it on my old t310 and did it also on the 68i. Although the bluetooth concept is quite oblivious.
