How can I manage my internal and external storage effectively?
Even though I've installed most apps and certainly all media files to my 32Mb memory stick, I've reached about 83% capacity on my internal memory, with just 2.6Mb free. The stick has reached 86% capacity with 4.2Mb free and my RAM is at 97% capacity with a mere 0.4Mb free for some reason!
How can I keep track of what is where and delete accordingly? A little like Windows, there seem to be remnants of files all over my phone, even though I've long ago deleted the apps they belong to.
What could possibly cause my internal storange to almost disappear despite me not knowingly storing any apps or media files there?
Are there are clean-up utilities to help me manage my P900 better? Perhaps some tips for cleaning up the files, or technical information on how the P900 stores files across the phone?

As masseur mentioned above one of the reason for the reduction in
internal memory will be the contacts file is too big, to solve this, by compressing the contacts file, you can download the free application SMAN from the link masseur provided above.
Another reason as you said might be that you installed and uninsatlled too many applications which have left residue files, the apps don't uninstall fully. To solve this a good idea will be to do a master reset of the phone which will clean the phone up and since all your programs and files are in the MS you won't loose much stuff.
Altrnatively using the file manager of the SMAN you can delete the rsidue files from the system folder but you need to know what you are doing.
Unfortunately there is no registry cleaning application available at the moment.
Another reason for the lack of internal storage will be too many sma or mms in you phone check all the folders including the 'sent' messages folder and delete the unwanted mms and sms.
Regarding RAM P800 and P900 programs usually don't have exit functions built into it which makes these programmes run in the background using up RAM again SMAN will help you to close all the unwanted apps and regain the RAM.
PS: Though SMAN is freely available from the site mentioned by masseur above I will suggest you download it from Handango by paying $5 because you can see how useful a software it is and it is made by a felow esatonian
