I have purchased the TDK bluetooth adaptor for my P900 in order to be able to synch my phone, and also to browse the internet around the house.

I have installed the device successfully as I can use the TDK software to send and recieve files, pair my phone, etc through bluetooth.

However, I am unable to use the sony ericsson synch tool as there is no bluetooth option (which means I can't synch it, or use the internet through BT). The only option there is currently is an infrared option. I get a USB option if I plug in my se synch station.
How can I get this to work with bluetooth though?

I have gone into "phone monitor options" and made all of the COM ports "enabled" but still nothing appears in the synch properties window.

Can anyone help?

Yes its simple really you have to check with your network and see if bluetooth is available in your area. Sometimes you cant receive bluetooth without the use of a satellite dish.
Thanks for your question.

switchbitch - thanks for your response, but doesn't really help at all.

Has anyone come across this problem before, if so how did you fix it...?

Cheers

First of all, do you have the Bluetooth icon downstairs on right hand side of your pc screen? If you have then right click on the icon and Quick connect then Bluetooth Serial port. There you should see your device if you already paired them. Choose it and it is going to connect to your device. Maybe you need a couple of attemt before succeed. AND dont forget to turn on bluetooth on your device of course:-)

janptr - I have the bluetooth icon in the taskbar (next to the clock), and can connect via serial port and transfer files. However, I have a network icon which says that the bluetooth cable is unplugged (when it clearly isn't). Also the SE synch station doesn't have the bluetooth option available when you view its properties.
I can connect my phone to my PC, I just can't get the SE synch software to connect via bluetooth...

orangeman - in your SE synch properties is there a bluetooth connection type that you can select? I don't have that....

It is showing same for me and had been showing like that all the time but it still work to 100%. I first tried out Belkin but just got it to work to Transfer files but after changed to TDK it works perfect. When rightclick on the Bluetooth icon in Taskbar and under Bluetooth serial port can you there see your device?

Yes, I can connect using the TDK bluetooth option to connect through the serial port to the phone. I can then use this to transfer files directly to my phone. The only problem I have is that I can't synchronise my phone to my PC since there isn't any bluetooth options on the SE phone connection link. There should be a bluetooth connection available on port 4 that I can select, but there isn't any at all.

All I want to do is to be able to use my TDK bluetooth (which works) to synchronise my phone and PC using bluetooth.....

1. Instal TDK Mobile software.
2. From main selection screen choose setup to use BT link.
3. Sync with SE software from progs list not the icon.
4. If no go check all sync settings from the sync icon, and all comm ports enabled.
5. If still no go 'manually' connect via BT places icon (but it should show the device already connected!!!!!!!!)
