Even though

is great, i spent over 300 pounds on a p800 and my useless desc syncstation will not install because i am currently windows 98. i checked out the se website and they said minimum requirements are windows 2000 - but thats stupid! luckily i have a port for my memory stick duo so i can transfer vids, pics, tones, games, apps in seconds but i cant do all this fancy syncronisation stuff dammit!
has anyone had the same problem and overcome it? If so could u please tell me how
cheers
DD
but even though

still wins the daredeviluk best phone manufacturer award!!

If you look carefully you will see a patch or a new PC suite which works with Windows 98

on SE's support site!

YES! because when i bought the p800 for a lot of money i thought it would come supplied with everything that i would need for such a high price. Being a business man phone i thought se would have the sense to make it compatiable with different operating systems
@other person (dunno ur name!)
thanks! i should open my eyes but i am just saying what happens if someone buys a px00 and dont have an internet connection and have windows 98. what would happen then

jus' bein awkward!

How the hell should you know of the existence of the Px00?
Without an Online connection
You can't buy software AKA download software
etc.!

how would anybody that doesn't even have a net connection (not even on dial up) ever handle a Px00?

yes its a business man phone as u say. and a business man would not run win 98
its ur job, since u have such an old operatin system to check if the thing u buy will work on win 98
and how does any of this have to do with trust ? do u know what the word trust means ?

I agree. For example, how would ford break your trust if you chose to buy a car without test driving it or checking out it specs before hand. If you dont theres no point moaning your car doesnt have air con after you assumed it would because its modern! Plus why should se make software backwards compatible. The p800 was released when windows xp is available. So that will be the main target operating system?
