bought a p900 that is supposed to be unlocked. My tmoblie sim card works in it but when I put my cingular sim card in it I have no network and the cingular icon does not come up. What should come up on the screen if a sim card is not working in this phone, or does it just simply not work and no error message posts. Is there any way of telling if this phone is unlocked?

If it didnt ask for "insert correct sim card" , its unlocked. Check other areas, u dnt hv any signal in your place or the phone may have been blacklisted by that network This message was posted from a T68i

I've been all around my area where my other phone works perfectly and this phone will not work with the cingular sim card in it. How would I know if the phone is blacklisted and what and why would it be blacklisted?

call cingular & have your phone's imei checked if its blacklisted with cingular.

Phone maybe blacklisted if it is reportedly stolen.
