> P900 Handsfree with 2004 Acura TL
Bookmark topic
I've searched several forums and it seems like I'm out of luck.
I have a P900, my wife a T610. I just bought here a new Acura TL with Bluetooth. Both of our phones bond properly, but the Acura won't recognize mine, only hers.
I was thinking of getting a Lexus 430, but it seems the problem will be the same.
I like my P900, but I'd like it to work in the car.
Any ideas, or do I need to get another PDA/phone that works in handsfree mode?
Thanks in advance for any ideas/help.

Thanks for the reply.
So it seems that the P800 and P900 won't work with any cars' handsfree.
I really like my P900, but I guess I'll have to switch.
What is 2nd best in everybody's opinion? I need a PDA/phone.

I wouldn't switch, if I were you. This really is a great phone. I wouldn't settle for a lesser phone because of this. What about a bluetooth headset? I love mine, and it works great, no wires. Or if you want top of the line, money is no object, get the
bluespoon digital. Anyway, just my opinion.

Thanks.
I have a bluetooth headset, but it's not the same.
With the Lexus, you can download you phonebook and voice activate everything.
With the Acura you can vaice answer and voice dial by number. If you use the navigation system, which I do, you can tell it to phone the destination.
Nice features that I'm missing because I have a P900, but my wife can use with her T610.

Just got my p910i yesterday and tried to pair it with Acura TL this morning - very frustrating process.
I used suggestions from this blog:
http://bluetoothcar.typepad.com/main/2004/09/sony_ericsson_p.html
P910i and Acura paired, but when tried to place a call using Acura's phone control buttons, message in the phone poped up asking me if I want to keep call in the phone or not. No matter wich option I pick car looses connection with the phone right away.
I don't know if it will work with incoming calls, will ex[eriment more tonight.

The P900 will not work since it has only "headset" profile and not "handsfree" profile as far as bluetooth is concern, plain and simple.
