I just got my T62u yesterday and I'm very excited. Now all of you guys are probably gonna say what my wife and my friends said, "It's monochrome, and it's old. Why'd you get it???" Well, I wanted a phone that was GAIT enabled, and I'm always collecting phones that are special in some kind of way or another. This phone is special to me because it can function as a digital phone on the TDMA network, function as an analog phone, and also act as a GSM phone, with a SIM card.

Anyways, now you know why I like the phone. The point of this thread is because I want to unlock it, but the terminator cable does not work for this phone.

I slightly recall seeing a thread somewhere that you could unlock this phone, via adjusting a few settings in the menus, then powering your phone off, then back on, and your phone would be unlocked. Does anyone remember what I am talking about? I could really use some help here, please! Thank you very much!!!

There are a number of things you can do to dive into the guts of the phone...

type in *777* and power off and on the phone - that will open many new menus. This is what you were probably refering too. There are some other seemingly simple commands as well.

Yeah, I was able to locate that code, but thanks again. That let's me do alot of stuff, but unfortunately not unlock it. Oh well, but thanks again.
