At the risk of being asked to use the search(which i have done, but no doubt someone else will find something i couldn't?) I'm stuck with my update! I've had my P900 about 3months now. I upgraded to broadband today so i thought, at last i'll upgrade my P900 firmware! I've followed all the instructions on the site and apparently my phone is due an update(i'm on orange if that makes a difference).
now i'm got to the page on the SE site that says>
Please Wait....
Checking the installation of Sony Ericsson Update Service
.....and thats it
Its just been sat there for nearly an hour??
What did i do wrong?
Anyone?
Please help!

I vaguely recall someone having a solution for this so I did a search for the message you mentioned "Checking the installation of Sony Ericsson Update Service" and it came up with
these few threads so have a browse through those (if you haven't done so already) while you wait for someone who may have an exact answer for you

Ok so i've now tried both the regular windows net explorer and the explorer within the aol software! But nothing!!
I've even tried lower my security settings and the option to do an automatic update, but still nothing!!
Anything else i could try?
