> Won a holiday!Just press 9?
Bookmark topic
On saturday afternoon i was sitting down watching tv when the phone (landline) rang, So I answered the call to be meet by what sounded like a automated voice (South African accent) saying “you have one a holiday press 9 for more details” or something like that!
Now I straight away thought I’ve herd of some scam been mentioned here on esato about fake operators phoning landlines and asking the person who answers to press 9 then # and they can then use your line to call premium rate calls and leave you with a big phone bill!
Do you think I was right to hang up straight away (like I did) or do you think I missed out on a holiday?
I personally think it was a scam!

call your telephone provider straight after and they can usually trace the call.
