On a P800, take this situation..
A new number sends me an SMS. Of course, the new number isn't listed in my Contacts yet. Upon receving the message, I add him to my Contacts, with First and Last name and mobile number intact. When I return to the SMS, the number is still not registered - it doesn't display the First and Last name. Sometimes I have to wait for, say hours before it updates. How come?
Another one is, I have a Contact named AB(first name) C(last name), and in SMS his SMS appears as AB C too. When I update the contact AB C and change it to CD E, going back to SMS, it is still AB C.
How do I learn how fast my contacts/SMS are being updated?

How about the SMS that remains in the inbox? I'm saving my SMS to SMS Folder Manager and it's got mixed because the contacts aren't updated.
