A new firmware was released today for the T610 / T630 / Z600 phones. R6C005

I havent tested them out yet. If any of you have upgraded from R4, please post your results here.

You can get your phone upgraded at any Sony Ericsson Service Point or Service Center.

Looks like they are constantly working on the firmware to make it better I wouldnt be surprised if another one comes out again...

Many people have killed their phones by trying to upgrade the firmware themselves. They then send their phones to SE for repair. It costs SE a lot of money for the fraudulent repairs. The new firmwares are supposed to stop shops from illegally hacking the phones...

Mine was 'illegally' hacked and that the best thing i did, now i have the 'old' r6b and the special gfds that removes all predefined items, and i have lots of space. From what i learn, you can always save the phone from dying with a bad flash. But what i want to know with r6c is: if its for all three phones does that mean t610 and t610 will have my friends and vga photos like t630? And are there any further improvements in java, menu speed, amr playing, etc? This message was posted from a T610

R6C is not released i all regions afaik, R6B is the newest in europe...

Anyone who can confirm that the firmware is out on EMMA (Europe version, T630)?

According to Cellurar support fourm Fighter team has released a version of this firmware wich doesn't require signed applets.
