when i remove the flip, all directions of the flip work except away from you

is this normal?

the jog dial works fine when you touch the contacts from the flip with the contacts of the phone. (ie. when the flip is back on the phone)

EDIT: sorry, forgot to add, i have a P900

least its not just mine then

its a bit stupid to remove one of the jog dial functions when your already handicapped without the flip. like you say, it is better with the flip on, its just a little annoying as most of the functions are available in flip open/removed modes only

yeh my P900 does that too!!

I prefer having the flip off but pressing the jogdial back does nothing -annoying!!

Do all P900's (flip free) have the same problem or is it something that can be fixed? I hope someone knows of a solution.

i thought it was something to do with the pins. will it do any damage by connecting those two pins together?

I have noticed a similar problem with the flip removed but it works some of the time.
I think some of u have the problem that it NEVER works? Mine doesn't do that it is just sometimes it works normally (sort of like a 'back' button in most situations) but sometime just doesn't respond & needs pressing several times until it registers.

That rings a bell, thinking about it. I have seen wiring diagrams on this forum. But the problem does not bother me This message was posted from a T610
