unfortunately, as with all other "when will K700 be available" threads, and indeed with all "when will xxx model be available" threads that have gone before... no one ever knows until they actually hit the shops. all we have to go on now is 's own estimate of Q2 (i.e. before end of June)

Just curious as to who the carrier is in Mexico. I have Cingular and when I cross the border with my phone, it says Cingular Extend and it shows full reception, but I can't make/receive calls or get/send SMS.

There are two, one is Telcel GSM (network ID 334020)and the other is Telefonica Movistar (network ID 33403), both operate in the 1900 Mhz band.

Yeah, I wanna get my hands on the K700, the only problem is that I want it unlocked and the other problem is WHERE? But yeah, until June.
It's arriving on June in what country/ies or continent? And after that, how long will it take to arrive in North America and unlocked?

how far across the border?

When I cross the Belgian border i'll have my home network just about up to Antwerpen before it switches to a belgian carrier. (between 30 mins and an hour south)

It IS possible that your phone picks up just about enough Cingular signal.... try manually selecting network to see what other options you have... perhaps switching to roaming on a mexican network will allow you to dial out? It's also possible that cingular 'extend' is a special coverage deal for ppl that travel back and forth frequently (think cheap romaing) and your phone picks it up for preferred network.
