I've come to the conclusion that synching my P800 with my PC is a pain in the arse.
The P800 doesn't understand that a birthday or a holiday is an all day event and should be a yearly occurance. I have datemate but this doesn't make them an all day event. So you synch and end up with 2 lots of data!!!
I'm not bothering anymore. Easier to just beam the stuff I want from my Ipaq.

I am syncing Contacts, Tasks, Notes and the calendar,It works just fine to me.
But I don't use birthdays and I didn't try what you sad about holidays.
