I have a a situation, were we will have maybe 5 or 6 users, each having a p900, with gprs.

Each user will have there own workstation, on that workstation it will have there sync software installed for their phone.

What I need to do is have all these users to be able to conect to their worksation and sync their phone over gprs (internet connection).

One machine on our network will be a gateway for his. Does anyone have any idea if this is possible.

Note: each pc will have its own NON INTERNET IP. so basically this is a routing question (from the gateway to each p900 users worksatation) aswell.

Tricky question ehhhh

I might have misunderstood what you are out for and what you really want to do, but why not synchronize with a free internetbased service?

Mobical might provide the solution for you and your mates. Take a look at http://www.mobical.net for further information.

Each worksation is connected to our unix server and get emails from that, the reason I dont want to connect directly to the unix server is the possbile duiplication or loss or emails.

Thats why each worksatation will have the syn software running and be on full time so the emails will always be upto date on each machine (outlook 200).

What I really need is the ability of setting up a gateway, a machine with a real IP, that can say route and control the internet connection to a LAN pc worksation running there syn software.

SO for example, I have a XP PC running x(unknown) software, connected by broadband to the INTERNET say 200.201.202.203.

My user wants to sync his p900 with his gprs, he sink to IP 200.201.
202.203:port ????, the XP machine will then route all the traffic to IP 192.168.0.5 (his workstation).

Sounds simple, but I am sure it isnt.

I think the answer to your question is SyncML.

Anyway your needs are very specific, I don't think you will find a comercial solution to fit on it.
I am using a very basic code, in PHP, that makes my linux server to a SyncML server. The code is open and you can edit it to fit your needs.

Follow the link:
SyncML Tools

I hope it helps you.

ok I have some questions

I havent got my p900 yet so I dont know the ins and outs just yet.

Which port does the routing take place on?
Can you sync over gprs?

What I need is a way for people to connect to my XP pro box (INTERNET IP), and then jump into the LAN and sync with there workstation (LAN IP).

I think its more a port routing question, has anyone been ablke to do this.

Mobical can be used by any device supporting SyncML 1.0.

But it does not support email synchronization...
