when a phone is reported stolen, it is blacklisted so it does not work on any networks in uk, but what does it say when you enter the sim card

is it "insert correct simcard"??? or is this ONLY shown if it is locked?

thanks.

the phone itself will be blocked from the network if the IMEI number has been blocked.

i imagine it would say 'Invalid Mobile' on the display.

I have a T68i which says 'invalid mobile' when you put an Orange simcard in, which means it blocked by that network, so I think the T610 will say the same if it is blocked.

If mobiles are blocked now by one network for being lost/stolen, it's now blocked on all UK networks I think my T68i got blocked either before this came in, or for non-payment of a bill or something.

If it says 'insert sim card', it either needs a sim inserting (obviously!) or there's a problem with the sim card reader if there's a sim inserted. If this is the case, try putting a piece of folded paper on top of the sim card before putting the battery back in on top of the sim/paper and see if that works. If not, it could be the card reader itself, and a trip to the local service centre!

the phone will be blocked if you have its IMEI No. and you have the proper documents signifying you are the true owner of the mobile phone to be blocked.
