> O2 are raping my credit
Bookmark topic
Ok, so I have an O2 Online sim, with the 300 free texts. The last week or two I've noticed my credit has been going down rather rapidly for reasons I could not fathom (I've not made any more calls than usual yet the credit was running out faster).
A week ago I noticed something very odd, I sent a text to a friend (on Vodafone) and received my credit status afterwards (I have a p900, so this is shown after every text /call), it said I had £5.28. I received a reply, and as normal, replied to that, the credit status appeared again; £4.28.
It was obvious this was where the problem was, I did for a second think that maybe my credit had been slow at updating throughout the day, but I checked my call log and I had made NO calls that day, which disproves that theory. The only explanation is that I'm being unjustly charged after sending some texts. There is no other explanation for the loss of £1 of credit after sending a text that day, furthermore I have 300 free texts a month so shouldn't even be charged at all.
I phoned Customer Services, they tried to tell me I'd made a call at 6:30 that day, I knew it was wrong, there were zero calls for that day in my p900's call log and I insisted I was being charged stupidly for texts, they said they'd look into it, I haven't heard anything since (bear in mind their CS line costs 50p a minute as well!!!)
So fast forward a week, to today. I receive a text, I reply, credit is £4.39. Receive another reply, I send back mine, this time there's no credit update, however, I get the "You are within X minutes of lower call charges for the day" message. I do the code to check credit; £3.39!!
It is blatantly obvious that O2 are charging me when I shouldn't be getting charged, and £1 a text!!!! WTF?!?
So, question is, what the hell do I do?

complain complain complain complain, threaten to write an article on them, threaten to inform customer protection services (if there is such a thing) threaten to switch providers (and actually do so if they don't refund you immediately)

my girlfriends been having problems with o2 as well, she has the same online sim as you with 300txts but she doesnt recieve the free txts and gets charged 12p for one. the freephone numbers to change tarrifs doesnt work eather it says 'contact your service provider' which is o2!! there is no way we would ring the cust. services number for 50p per min. anyway shes just switched to contract on o2 so the cust. service line is free. any problems and they will get an earfull

I wished I worked for O2 lol.
That is bad news m8. Just phone em and complain. Then ask for the call to be refunded, as it's their error and no fault of your own.

i have same simcard i always top up within the 1 month period but sometimes for some strange reason i get charged 10p per message for a couple of weeks and then txts become free again, i nvr even use all my free txts so it shouldnt happen

o2 have become shit lately but most of my mates are with them so im just sticking with them untill another network can offer my free txts on pay and go which is unlikely lol
