I've noticed that all my contacts that were synced from Palm Desktop to Outlook 2003 and then to the phone have received a weird-looking information field at the very bottom. Seemingly, there is no way to see that field in Outlook, but only on the phone, which is weird seeing as the contacts I create directly on the phone do _not_ get this field.

Check out the pic below. The highlighted field does not even have a name.

Yea, the GUI is Swedish, but you should know what I'm talking about.
Am I retarded or is this field simply... peculiar?

Postnummer = postal code/zip code
Land = Country

And below "country" the weird field is located, as you can see. Hm.

looking through my contacts I also have that.

I have trued changing the value and synching but nothing appeared to change in outlook for that contact so I too am puzzled, but still investigating

edit: it not only is displayed when you edit the contact, it is also displayed on the main contacts display screen before you edit it

@skydive: Yes, I know her. It was just an example of an address, and I didn't want to take a shot of a contact containing address information.

@masseur: It sure is puzzling. Let me know if you find out the reason behind this. I find it most strange since it must have been Outlook that created this weird field, or at least the synchronization process. Oh well.

I get this on mine too, but it's always the persons middle name for me if that helps.

I tend to get invisible fields of just middle name then the whole name. No idea why, but haven't worried about it

I created a new contact again in Outlook, and it added the weird textfield at the very bottom. What the heck...? I need an explanation!

Sure, the text can stay there. Fine! But at least I'd like to know why!
