Hi all, New to the P900 scene and have one concern.

When charging it takes around 5 mins to go up 1%. Today it took me 6 hours to go from 40% to 100%. The phone was on, in the cradle connected to the computer. No calls were made, it was just left to charge.

Is this usual when its on? Im used to my Nokia 6310 charging from dead to full in an hour and half.

Ive read all the forums on battery care but im not concerend about lifetime (i get a day or 2 so not bad). Just the charge time.

Thanks

Well mine doesn't take that long. I've just had it on for about 1hr and it went from about 12% to over 80%.

I suppose. Although, when its in the cradle with a PC connection and charging, if i turn it off it seems to reset, on and off and on and off.... Take the PC cable out and its fine. Wanna make sure I dont have a duffer, but sametime dont want to send it back and be without my new baby.

Mike, was that with the phone on and connected to the PC? or no PC connection.

My exact specs are

Phone on
cradle
connected to PC
GPRS active - seeking no transfer
Running apps - non, closed with Sman

do you share a power supply with other devices, like a 4way adaptor. that can affect my charging. one socket in the wall on its own seems to charge quicker... This message was posted from a P900

It may also transpire that the actual battery level indicator on the phone is a erroneous... some people report it getting stuck at a certain level irrespective of the level of charge...

Mine has an annoying habit of giving the low battery warning at 50% or more every now and again...

just note that the phone software is not perfect in this regard...

I do have it on a 4 way, powering my 19" monitor, twin Xeon workstation and my speakers That might be it.

Sometimes the charging goes up and then jumps from 90% to 100%.

I chraged it overnight and after 1 hour it had does over 25%, 2 over 50% and thats from flat so that seems fine.

All looks well to me. Thanks guys, youve set my mind at rest

Also looks like my Reply Wireless, OneBridge software snags a load of battery.

Oh, anyone direct me to any forums or have and tips for software. Ive got my PocketPC down to a T but im not to wise on the Symbian front, its cconverted me though

getting the reading off the phone when it's just come off charging or is still charging, this isn't the accurate reading of the battery,

sometimes, it'd say 13% on my phone and then when i restart it, it starts to show the battery depleted sign

when charging it, it can say that it's gotten to a certain percentage, but then when you take it off, leave it a few moments, it can drop drastically.
