Hi guyz n galz, i am a college student n presently i m doin my I yr. I need to buy a good cell phone. Most of my coll mates have either nokia or motorola(only few)n Rarely a Samsung. But I like SE very much. But I cant afford a costly phone like the T610/T630/Z200/Z600. Moreover I dont prefer clamshell phones but only candybars. I dont need a camera but i need a color display. I found the T230 very much attractive and also affordable. But I also found many rivalaries like the
SE T310
nokia 3100
nokia 6100
motorola c350e
samsung c100

So plz tell me whether the T230 is good or one among the above ? I ll be glad if u reply me imm because I dont have much time b4 i buy a phone.N i forgot 2 tell I just need a 900/1800 GSM phone.

fromt the list there are only 2 phones that you should keep in mind thats the: T230 and 6100.
but i think the best choice will be the T230 since its alot cheaper and ofcourse better menu system and battery.
so go ahead buddy

nokia 3100 = crappy
nokia 6100 = crappy
samsung c100 = crappier
motorola c350e = crappiest of all

whereas,...

SE T310 = good
SE T230 = better

also, do consider the SE Z200

Yah definitely i m thinkin abt the T230 only but what abt the memory capacity of the T230, how much dynamic memory it has? And how many text messages can it store? I also heard some rumours that T230 doesn't support profiles, screensavers and calendar, is it true? I came to know 6100 had a very slow UI how abt the T230's UI?

Below I have posted the blade grey version of T230 bcoz I liked this one than the steel blue one. N I wud like ur idea abt the color too. I think i have asked a lot of questions, plz spare ur time? Thanx in adv

Buddy go for the t230 for sure. Here in India it's quite cheap (i think abt 6200/- ) It has loads of stuff MMS, GPRS, WAP, E-Mail, 4,096 Color Display, 32 bit polys etc... The z200 sadly doesn't have MMS. the c100 acc to my experience is a shit phone crappy ui, SLOW, BAD FEATURES, puny disp, etc. Yes its true t230 doent hav calender but may be added later (like the 310) . also not giving the screen s. was a gud idea since as it is the s.saver dissappears after 5 seconds to save battery...

Ayush, i am also from INDIA, Actually which part of India are u from? Great at last to meet an Indian. Actually I am from Coimbatore and dunno the exact price of T230 here? I think between 6000-7000. Is the data cable available easily? Any problems with this set? Also what is the exact memory capacity?
