> HCH-32 or the HCH-37
Bookmark topic
I have got a P900 and I am thinking about getting the SE HCH-32, or the HCH-37. Does anyone know what the difference between these 2 holders is - they appear to be identical.
I would like to know what connections this holder has got on it -
Does it have a 2.5mm jack on it to plug in a hands free kit (or the earpiece included with the phone)?
It would appear that you can't access the build in 2.5mm jack when the phone is connected, plus it would seem pointless to plug the the phone into the cradle then have to fiddle about with the plastic flap to insert the headphones.
Can anyone help? Just want to be able to put the phone in the cradle and use either the earpeice or possibly a non-SE hands free kit.

I use the HCH-30 in my car and it works perfectly with the HCA-20. I like the fact this holder allows me to use different SE phones with it as it is adjustable.
If you do not have the HCA-20 you can connect your headset directly to your P900 as it has the space on the holder to allow this. As for the connection at the bottom of the HCH-30 it can accomidate HPB-20 handsfree type connection. Or you could just use your Bluetooth headset if you have one........
Check out my home setup....

the hch-32 is for the p800 and the hch-37 is for the p900....there is a difference ...the p900 won't fit in the hch-32..there is a hole in the bottom which takes a cable from the full car kit ...or you can use the 2.5 mm headset hole which is accesable while in the holder ( as are the camera, browser and jog wheel buttons) ..hope this helps

Basically what I want to do is to use the HCH-37 to plug my P900 into, and be able to use a hands free device.
I have seen loads about and I might not get the SE one. Most of the non-SE hands free kits use the 2.5mm jack as their connection method (rather than a special connection cable like the HCC-20) - What I really need to know is this. Is there a 2.5mm jack on the cradle itself that the non-SE hands free kit can be constantly plugged into? Then all that I would need to do it to plug the phone into the cradle and it becomes hands free.
I have seen this hands free system which looks pretty clever - and it uses a 2.5mm jack to plug into the phone.

Not sure if I am going to use the SE hands free kit or one like this yet.
With the HCA-20 it says that it charges up your phone at the same time - does this mean that I wouldn't need a seperate cigarette lighter power adapter?
Forgive me if this post is a bit 'scatty', but I am finding it hard to find information about hands free kits for the P900....
Cheers
