> Connecting via a BT dongle
Bookmark topic
I have a bluetooth dongle, installed all the software etc.... I can send things to my PC via BT but not connect the other way round. One of the options is "PIM synchronisation" when I try this I get an error message, "service PIm synchrosation is not found on device P800".
When I try to connect via serial port I get the message "The application that will use this connection must be configured to use com0"????? My PC is configured to use com5 as the serial BT port and I don't have te option to change it.
When I chose file transfer I get the message "service file transfer is not found on device"
I am using Windows XP home.
I am at a loss as to what to do now. Can anyone help?

P800 doesn't support 'file transfer' but PIM should work as far as I know

That's the way it's turned out. I click to make a serail connection, get knocked back, but then a message appears saying my phone is trying to make a connection, I accept and I'm connected via BT but as though it was in the docking station.
