thinking of buying a p900 but wud like advice fm friends here :

1.owned a p800 for 1 month since its launch, sold it becos of clock/time problem. although i don't sync time with pc, always change by itself-and thus missed appointment due to wrong alarm timing.
Is there really such a problem with P800 and now P900 or only my particular set has such a problem ?

2.does P900 has a signal - from the led after a missed incoming call ?
example a red led light ?

3.Appointment reminder/alarm, am I able to set it to continuously like Palm or Pocket PC OS. Eg. remind for 3 times every 5 minutes ?

thks

No problems with the clock - must have been a faulty p800 you had.

no flashing LEDs for missed calls or SMS, though there are some programs (SMSReminder, I think) that will beep the phone every so often to remind you. Otherwise the phone will beep once and then not again.

The alarm for events is set for one time, ie 10 mins before a meeting or whenever you specify and it goes off then. I have always switched it off once it went off, so I am not sure how long it will ring for or if it repeats.

I was in an interview last week and the phone vibrated in my pocket for 10 minutes coz i couldnt switch off an appointment reminder, so i guess the baby will ring forever if your appointment comes up.

as your questions have already been answered, it woulld be a good idea if you can get to a phone shop to demo the alarm and appointment functions yourself. im more than happy with it for personal and business as i had a palm and a t610, and my p900 has sucessfully replaced both... thks for reply

currently using xdaii. it has a red led to infm me of missed calls/sms on top of the reminder. although happy with it, miss the keypad and t9. its more a pda than a phone. its rather wide and funny to be placed at the cheek while making calls

u are right koresh, i will go down to the shop and try the p900 myself. well, believe the p900 will be my nx baby

I have had a similar time keeping problem with my P900 ... it seems like it could be related to summertime or synchronization, but I'm not sure. Even after the latest update, the problem still persists. I'm thinking maybe it is some application that is causing it.
