Why do so many apps that connect to the internet for the Px00 not work with O2 PAYG Online (Genie)
For example:

-Orange Scribble

-Most if not all Instant Messaging apps

-Worldmate

-Wayfinder

-Microsky

and they're just the ones I've tried!! I'm starting to get a little tired of it now! What is the problem with O2/Genie?

I have to come to the defence of o2 here...

I have a Genie sim pay as you go...

and I use agile messenger and other im with no problems....

I am not sure what orange scribbler is.... so no comment.....

I tried Wayfinder over this weekend on the dial up wap settings of my o2....and basically...no problems....

May I suggest you check your settings again for your internet connection on your p900.....

Hope this helps!

I can never get any online programs to work on my P900 either, I also use an O2 PAYG Online Sim. They never used to work on my P800 also.

O2 payg gprs is a WAP account, and NOT an internet one! U must be on O2 contract or a different network's gprs to use internet apps! Sorry

I'm on o2(genie) payg (two different sims), and I have no probs with those progs... Do you not just phone up and get them to activate data on your account?

well i have just rung up o2. i have o2 genie sim pay and go, and have trouble on opera i can load up mobile.msn.com using o2 wap gprs i type in my username and password but it takes ages to connect and comes up "could not connect to remote server"

basically o2 transferred me to data team and they said i can only use it on contract because they enable web on all the sims.....

so it looks like its bye bye genie and hello to contract, although i hate contract i think its about time to cross over

nvr mind

@ grex
so did u get them to activate it by ringing them?
Do you need any different settings?

I don't get the difference between an internet account & a WAP account. If all I have is a WAP account how come the browser can view full internet sites and also Opera works perfectly too on proper internet sites

Are you using GPRS or CSD (dial up)?

GRPS should be limited to access through the WAP server only on O2 PAYG. If you use the CSD (dial up) service everything will work.
