> Z200 cannot receive calls
Bookmark topic
I just got my z200 and i am able to make calls but cannot receive them. All you get is a busy signal when calling.
I know the phone is getting the call because when the flip is closed the front click will light up when they are calling.
I am assuming it is a simple setting that is incorrect within the z200 but have not found it yet.
I tried to do Calls -> Manage Calls -> Restricted calls -> Cancel All
but then it asks me for my phone password...and by default in the book it is 0000 i try this and it says "Cancel All command error".
But any password i put in will give me the same error.
Maybe i have the wrong password?
Can someone help me out?

Hmm...i found this in the user guide....but what PIN are they talking about?
They state to enter your PIN to disable it.
This is not the phone lock code....what is it?

the code can be found on your Service provider's simpack kit. If you don't have the code in that kit, get it from your service provider.

There are two possibilities I can suggest:
1)Did you buy the phone and SIM in a sealed pack, else if it was open maybe someone might have diverted the call to an unreachable number thats why the Busy tone as the connection is not completed.
or could have tampered with the PIN2/PIN codes.for that you can check if any lock is active by reaching the service menu.
2)The Operator might not have switched on your service completely, subject to verfication of your details.

nope the SIM is currently being used in another phone (T68m) and it works perfectly!
I actually got the PIN from my provider and tried that but i cannot use the "Cancel All" feayure on my phone as it gives an error....i am really stumped to what this might be!

my guesses
1. since you're in canada, you're using it on rogers?
2. your z200 is probably the HK version which is known to have problems on rogers (not receiving calls)
3. the reason for not receiving calls is because EFR is not activated and is required for rogers
4. you need at least R3E firmware for it to work and solve that problem
5. am i right?

Hmm well its dounds like you are right!
I am using R2D and yes it is a phone from HK.
What exactly is EFR that you are referring too, because i got my T68m from HK as well and never had problems.
