Ok - had my P900 for 2 months- bought on 23rd December. ON either the 22 or 23rd Feb - forgot - rang them up and said I wanted to reduce tariff after my 3 months. Fine - reduced to anything 30 tariff I believe. Anyway - just got my bill that should have the new tariff on - nope - still the old bloady one. Rang there customer service and .... their systems are down.

Anyone else had this problem with tariff changes?

You pay advance line rental, so you next bill will be the reduced one or will have a credit - which covers the reduced line rental back to the date you changed.

BTW, I changed mine to a £15 p/m tarrif - "leisure" I think. It was the cheapest one available.

The cheapest tariff is the data5 tariff, at £8 a month. Unfortunately its data only, and you cannot make calls. Its good if you want a cheap as chips p900 though; i managed to downgrade to this tariff immediately, paying overall less than £100 for my p900 over the course of the year!

Nice one. I never saw mention of that tarrif anywhere.

I'll give them a ring tomorrow.

Wait, let me get this right. You got on a huge contract and so got a really cheap P900. You then downgraded immediately and, overall, paid less than £100 for your P900?!

Most o2 staff dont know about it either. Perseverance is the only way with them.
Yes my p900 cost me less than £100 in total, assuming i cancel the contract after 12 months.

Is this offer still on 02? I'm on Orange but thinking of doing this and then getting the phone unlocked. What are details exactly?

O2 arent doing the free p900 offer anymore, they wised up after they got ripped off by loads of people like me. Sorry guys but you snooze you lose on this occasion. Another scam will surface sooner or later though, and you will hear about it first on ESATO.
@laffen, that was a shameless plug for your website. Also its my 1 year birthday in a few days. Can i please have a tshirt? (or one of those blue lights?)

I got my P900 Free on the £45 a month tariff at the beginning of december

After receiving my second statement i rang them up and had a bit of a problem trying to downgrade mine to the £15 tariff as i had only had the phone for two months but i thought it was worth a try they would not do it so i asked to speak to the manager who was not available at the time but i was told he would ring me back

Four days later he rang me i gave him an ear full for having to wait four days for a reply (gave him the crap about lack of customer care no clause about 3 months) and on my next bill i was dropped down to the £15 a month tariff and had £45 credit on my account
