Anyone know if Opera 6.01 is still available anywhere? Later versions just crash my P800 with the infamous KERN EXEC 3 (I've tried everything) and I suspect that going back to the original version will at least get me up and running.

Anyone got it on a web page or FTP server?

Thanks
Steve

If you mean the one from about a year ago, that would be great, thanks. steve.litchfield@ukonline.co.uk

Everything from Opera since the Autumn just croaks and dies on my P800 (6MB free on internal, etc. etc.) Sorry, Opera - but your code's just plain buggy.

For some reason I thought Opera was on the P800 CD, but I couldn't find it....

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Don't want to point it out if you have already tried, but on the opera forum there is a solution to the problem, worked absolutely spot on for me, no problems with opera since.

Look on their forum, do a search for the error message.

No, sorry, I've tried *every* homebrew solution on the Opera site. I've also tried *every* solution the Opera programmers themselves gave me when I firet reported the problem.

Opera 6.2 and 6.3 are just plain buggy. There's NO excuse for an app crashing with a KERN EXEC error. Obviously, it's taking exception to something it's finding on my P800, but without the program making an effort to tell me what's wrong, there's nothing more I can do.

So, back to my original question. Is there ANYONE in here who still has the original Opera 6.0 download on their hard disk (probably originally sourced from the SE site in the first half of 2003)?

Thanks!

Thanks, I've now been emailed 6.01!

And guess what? It works just fine. )

Kind of similar to Opera on the desktop, where everything after v5 seemed bloated and confusing....

Ah well, that's progress....

Thanks again all,
