> Best way to get P900 in the U.K?
Bookmark topic
I'm want to replace my T610 with a P900. So far the best/cheapest way I found is to add a new contract to my Orange account:-
1. £130 for the phone
2. £50 tariff for 1 month
3. £10 data tariff x 11 months = £110
------------------------------------
£290 in total.
This is via Orange direct. Anybody know any better?

You sure about that £50 for first month? Also, some places now doing it for free on that contract.

There's no charge if you get it from Orange direct which I would do. Although there is rumour in Orange about changing this to 6 months and it may take place in July.
With places offering the phone free you probably have to stay on for at least 4 months which makes the total cost higher, though I'm not sure of the initial tariff costs so if you come across any please let me know so I can check it out.

I would say CWP (since I had mine from there), but I would not know pesonally if they have changed their contract details or not, which some people have reported in the past, so you would have to check out the downgrade thing first...
The official line is usually (again, peronal experience) that you have to stay with the initial tariff for at least 3 months with Orange, as opposed to 6 months with other operators... but it has been possible to reduce after 1 month...
Indeed, to aid a 1 month downgrade, perhaps it would be worthwhile siging up with the Orange website, where you can amongst other things, access your account details AND CHANGE YOUR TARIFF without being warned otherwise, or at least I wasn't...
Your deal sounds good though... bearing in mind that I bought mine when they were generally introduced around October/Novemberish... I will end up paying around £350, but that was 'cos I didn't downgrade immediately, and have added a GPRS bundle as well as a low usage phone call plan...

Got mine from e2save.com (part of the CPW) for free on Orange £70 month tariff. Then immediately downgraded to minimum £10 data tariff.

@ andysam
I'm not sure what you mean by the data tarrif, you start at 70quid then how much does it drop to?
Just trying to work out how cheap that would make it.
Has any1 managed to get any good upgrade prices on orange by threatening to leave
