> T610 freezing in menus for 30s-1m
Bookmark topic
My girlfriend and I both have T610s, mine on T-Mobile and hers on Orange, and mine works like a dream but hers hangs randomly while navigating its menus, entering text messages, etc. for up to a minute at a time up to a few times a day. Has anyone else seen this and know what the problem is?
Possibilities that spring to mind are:
Bad release of firmware
Broken phone
Problems with network
Problems with SIM (grasping at straws by this point)
Thanks

Same problem here, both me and my girlfriend have the SE T610 and are both with T-Mobile. Mine works just fine, even before getting the latest firmware, but hers will lock at the strangest of times. Hers has not had the firmware upgrade and is still within her 30 days to get it replaced.
Anyone know of a solution?

Too little free memory can be what's causing this, no?
How much do you have free?

I only have this on boot-up of the phone and sometimes when GPRS is disconnecting. Nothing random though - seems like a faulty phone...

I have experienced the same thing and the problem was with the sim card, it was the 16k sim which caused the freezing.

I think the problem which causing freezing of her phone is the network. Try to change your sim cards for a couple of days.

Have you upgraded your t610 with the latest firmware?
I think there were some bugs in the first versions that "hanged" the phone for a while sometimes.

Ah maybe her phone is jealous of you..lol...
well there are multiple reasons for the phone to hang while in operation, the possiblities are listed..
1)Maybe You have lots of data (Images/AMR Files/MIDI's)although you can save upto the limit of the phone, but more use of memory slows down the phone operation, Also check out the SIM usage, Maybe you have stored lots of SMS/Phone numbers this also considerably effects performance.
2)Older Firmware need not neccesarily be bugged(Please tell me what firmware are you using) , maybe certain files or the firmware version could be missing vital segments causing hangups, for that please visit the nearest SE center and get the phone upgraded.
3)Battery at times also causes these hangups, but usually if the phone is new it hangs often but with due course of time when battery has reached its potential then performance increases.
Try these suggestions along with the ones listed by the other users.
