if yes and you have an hotmail account and can access it through the built in browser or through opera then can you

pm me with the exact settings you use to do this or post them hear i have tried everything the only other thing i can think of is to get them from someone here and copy exactly what someone else has got...........

I have a Genie SIM on P9 but don't use Hotmail. Try looking in the 'GPRS, WAP, MMS and Email setup' section on here, there are quite a few threads about it that I found trying to help my cousin with the same problem on his P8.
Alternatively get another decent e-mail account that supports POP3

i have looked on various threads and tried different things but to no avail. i think ill just have to take ure advice and get another email, although i really like hotmail and its a bit of a pain having to tell everyone my emails changed, but i suppose it has to be done. nvr mind.

can you recommend any decent accounts etc. there are so many to choose from

I would agree. Use an O2 account, works a treat on POP3 (it's cr@p on the computer though!)

i can finally get hotmail on opera

i want to say thanks to smilerthecheshirecat who helped me out and to everyone for there suggestions/tips that you very much.....

i am also using chat on java msn pro which nvr worked b4

i downloaded all of the o2 settings to my p900

i then selcted o2 wap as my preferred and it worked straight away if only i knew that b4
