Possibly misconfiguration of the web server. You need to specify "mime" types for all the files.
Do a search for mime types here and you will find plenty of mentions

I added a file to the folder where that file is present. Does that work?
Its called .htaccess and has some lines in it tht another member posted.

the .htaccess fileshould be in every folder on your website, if not games and stuff will only download from the folder which has the .htacess file in it.

@buckle247: No. .htaccess in a directory has effect in all child directories.
You only need to place it in the root of your site.
However not all configurations support .htaccess override. If yours don't you must edit your vhost.cong file (for Apache only). You must have root access to server or ask your web host to do so.
If you have IIS server uninstall the crap and install the Apache.

i had the .htaccess in the root directory, but it didn't have an effect on the other directories. Not sure what software the server is running as i don't own it.
Use this file t610wap.com/ht.txt it has more mime types than the other one posted

Thats a lot fo hassle, i dont think i have access to the configuration files etc.
I have downloaded a .jpg wallpaper straight from my server to my phone before, though i guess that means nothing.
If i make a wap site on some free service, can i link it to the files on my webspace? Although, i think the phone will still try to access the files straight to my webspace so it will still get the error

The problem is with your GPRS/ wap connection. If it was to do with mime types, you would get an 'item not supported' error, not a connection error.
Try again later and if the problem still persists, contact your mobile service provider or try using
www.euploader.com.
