I would bet money that you are connecting with a wap data account rather than an internet data account

I am sure i log-in to web sites (eg. www.esato.com) but i dont get any message about any error and the download bar below [0%] doesnt work also. I'm afraid that i'd deleted any files relating to this.

the builtin browser can use a wap gateway and a wap account to access normal web pages
The other applications CAN'T do that, they need a full internet account usually thru port 80 enabled to access the web
U r certainly using a wap access point so that why ur app can't access the web.
Contact UR SERVICE provider and tell them u want a full internet account

If it's just a case of needing the settings for a GPRS/internet connection, you could try either the website of your service provider, who could also text you the update to your phone automatically (like O2-UK); or do a search for a site that will have your provider's details on it so you can manually input them into your phone.

btw, I've just got the Opera browser for my P800, and I'm having exactly the same problem! My account is enabled for internet access, my settings are all correct (came from the O2 website), so what's gone wrong?

I'd used the previous version of Opera browser and it works find on either wap and web. Maybe i've deleted some folder in my p800 when i do some clean-out with the file manager.
I hope that i know what folder i need so that i can create back the folder.

I subscribe to 2 telcos, one works fine with Opera n Netfront while the other can't connect at all. Both networks work fine with the default browser.

Is this also a settings problem with one of the telcos?

I do wonder if there's a problem - I've just tried connecting with the default browser that comes with the p800 and that just gave me an error message.

Either that or my settings are wrong! But they shouldn't be, as they were sent to me by O2, perhaps I'm doing something else wrong?
