I have looked around without luck, can anyone confirm that the handset doesn´t have GPS?

i think you are thinking bout the cell grid they can roughly tell where you are by figureing out which cell towers you are near

This seems like a good safety feature to me if your phone gets lost stolen you can find out where it is, if your lost and in danger you an be found. great idea bring it on in UK
