Testing different programmes and looking at related posts I find that at present the following GPS navigation systems are available for p800/p900:
PowerNavigator: No maps (find it at
powernavigation_uiq&pl=se_p900)" target="_blank" rel="nofollow]http://www.symbianware.com/do[....]owernavigation_uiq&pl=se_p900)
WayFinder: Europe, USA from 2004 Q3 (find it at
http://www.wayfinder.com)
gpMobile for USA, Europe from 2004 Q3 (find it at
http://www.gpware.com)
Some say that TomTom will introduce an UIQ version soon (find TomTom at
http://www.tomtom.com).
Any more?

@mobile_dude
UIQ is the type of Symbin OS you are running. Developed by a company called (you guessed it) UIQ Technology. It's found on all of the touch screen Symbian devices and is the more powerful and customisable of the Symbian OS platforms (the other being Series 60).
As far as hardware goes. Tom Tom currently supply everything you need to get you up and running. But don't do a UIQ version yet. Wayfinder do a good UIQ version and do a software licence only or an all in one package.

so all P800/P900's run the UIQ?
i thought that the type of OS would have an impact o nthe software since it is the only thing that comunicates with the OS.
from my basic understanding the P800/P900 would communicate with the device in this fashion.
GPS software communicates with OS (UIQ/series 60) which runs the Bluetooth P900 which communicates with the bluetooth GPS using bluetooth.
